Overnight Camp for Horse Happy Girls
Parents, you are invited to watch your daughter ride on the morning of pick up. The first lesson is at 9:00 am and the second at 10:30 am. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to inquire about what time your daughter is riding. Pick up is between 10 am and noon.
Located in Steeles Tavern, VA on 365 acres in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia between Staunton and Lexington, 45 minutes Southwest of Charlottesville.
New Meadow Farm is a riding camp for girls who want to take their riding to the next level. We have 35 horses for all riding levels.
In the morning, campers can choose to take one or two lessons per day plus evening trail rides. Lessons take place in the ring or in the cross country field, all under expert instruction. This means your camper can spend up to 4 hours every day on horseback! In the afternoon, campers meet in the barn to take care of the horses and learn proper horsemanship.
Only 30 campers are accepted each summer at New Meadow Farm. Our small size means campers can participate in a wide range of activities on and off the farm. Weekends and evenings include competing in horse shows, group activities, riding on trails, and taking field trips. Other camp activities include camp outs, hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, canoeing, photography, arts and crafts, and more. There is a counselor for every five campers. This allows for a high level of personal instruction and family atmosphere.
New Meadow is modeled after our successful day camp at Ashford Farm in Pennsylvania. Our mission is to offer a unique program for girls who love horses and want to learn to ride to the best of their ability.
