Thank you for the memories New Meadow Farm, we will miss you!
After 26 summers of girls, summer, and horses, New Meadow Farm will be closing it’s doors for good. We want to thank everyone who made camp so amazing every summer… Thank you campers, families, instructors, directors, counselors, neighbors, horses, and pets! We will miss you and the Shenandoah Valley so much.
Camp is a special place. For 8 weeks every summer New Meadow became home to its very own special family of horse lovers. We’ll always remember morning walks & cinnamon roll breakfasts; bringing in horses from the top of the hill field and looking for Pineapple in the far field; weekend trips to Klines, CiCi’s, the skating rink and the drive in movie theater; horse shows, clinics & lessons; swimming horses in the pond, the jumping trail and galloping in the cow field; tuck shop and mail time; bunk inspections and circle meeting; olympics, “New Meadow style soccer” and bike rides without brakes…. but most of all we will remember the friendships that we made. Friendships with humans and horses that will last a lifetime.
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” - Dr. Seuss
Thank you all for the memories,

Overnight Camp for Horse Happy Girls
Located in Steeles Tavern, VA on 365 acres in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia between Staunton and Lexington, 45 minutes Southwest of Charlottesville.
Only 30 campers are accepted each summer at New Meadow Farm. Our small size means campers can participate in a wide range of activities on and off the farm. Weekends and evenings include competing in horse shows, group activities, riding on trails, and taking field trips. Other camp activities include camp outs, hiking, biking, swimming, tennis, canoeing, photography, arts and crafts, and more. There is a counselor for every five campers. This allows for a high level of personal instruction and family atmosphere.
New Meadow is modeled after our successful day camp at Ashford Farm in Pennsylvania. Our mission is to offer a unique program for girls who love horses and want to learn to ride to the best of their ability.
